Physical Attraction Rules!
When someone is drawn to another by the pleasing perception generated by their appearance, this is physical attraction. Being physically attractive and sexually attractive is not the same thing. Most people are physically attracted, but not sexually attracted, to jolly friendly looking older men that look like Santa Claus with the notable exception of Lauren Graham in the 2003 film Bad Santa. Counter to this, most people will automatically recoil from someone with a severely burned face, even if it is the face a sweet 9 year old girl. Physical attraction can define your life.
A person considering a cosmetic surgical procedure tends to focus both consciously and subconsciously on sexual attraction. They are missing the broader reaching, more general, but less focused state of physical attraction. Physical attraction creates something called the attractiveness halo. The greater your level of attraction the stronger your halo. When a halo is working, you can do no wrong. My kind of attractiveness halo is made out of hair.
Physical attraction has an impact on all aspects of your life that involve contact with other people. While it may not be the key to total life success, it helps. Physical attraction contributes to job promotions and higher incomes, a better state of mind, and a better social life. First impressions are powerful and the more physically attractive you are the stronger this initial positive reaction will be. It just makes simple sense. Placing others in the most positive sense of mind possible and right from the beginning is very advantageous.
Different cultures have different specific criteria for what is physically attractive but there are some universal attributes. As an expert in hair restoration, I am focused on the facial attributes which are in fact most important as it is what gives us out identity. The critical facial attributes are symmetry, proportion, and the proper placement of facial features. The fuller the head of hair and the closer it lies to its original hairline, the stronger the influence on the facial attributes.
