Former OB/GYN

Prior to his life as a hair transplantation surgeon, Dr. Weinstein spent 21 years as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Dr. Weinstein developed in depth skills in the surgical management of female patients and provided care for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients. During this time he developed a deep understanding of women both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Dr. Weinstein initially chose the field of OB/GYN to satisfy an intense need to directly help people.

As a former OB/GYN, Dr. Weinstein may have a near unique perspective as a current hair transplantation surgeon. The blending of these two professions makes him an exceptional choice for female patients. While male pattern baldness can be upsetting to a man, female pattern baldness can be devastating. In a society that unfortunately but truly places disproportionate weight on a woman's physical appearance, the loss of a woman's hair can cause emotional destruction. Having dealt with innumerable health issues with women for over 20 years has strongly prepared Dr. Weinstein for the emotional issues of sufferers of female pattern baldness.

Dr. Weinstein graduated from the National University of Mexico Medical School in 1969. He did his postgraduate and surgical training at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in 1975. He was in private practice as an obstetrician/ gynecologist until 1996 when he joined Stuart Medical Group as a hair restoration surgeon. Dr. Weinstein established his own hair restoration practice and typically performs 15 and 20 procedures a month.
